I am sure that you have seen the patterns for sale and I built a basic one (center picture) for a friend to hold her tea cup. I wanted to embellish them a little plus change their purpose as well now that we are in our new house.
Took some time out to have some fun and build something whimsical but yet practical. Our maid and butler adorn our guest powder room and provide the essentials to our guests!
The original design had them each holding a plate or platform to put things on. For our intention the platform for the maid was just too small and the arms where too close together to allow the towel hanger to be mounted. As with the butler again the arms where too close together so we added the butlers jacket via a piece of wood plus additional spacers to set the arms further apart to allow for the width of the toilet paper roll. The hands had to be redesigned since the original design the hands where flat on top to mount the little tray. It’s just a fun project taking a basic design and embellishing it to do a different task from its original design.

Do they turn around whenever you actually use the commode? Lots of fun, Dataman!
