This is an abstract relief carving utilizing an optical illusion that as far as I know, I am the only person that has ever created it. You will have to ask me privately as I will not reveal the illusion in this comment section…..but the 2 parallel lines that run top to bottom are “NOT” broken, although there certainly “appear” to be gaps in the “unbroken” lines.
Although I like to make objects that people think are beautiful, I also try to create thought provoking art too.

It sure is beautiful wood but I really have no idea about what you are talking about with the broken line illusion thing. I think you are trying to be a bit too clever here.

Just looks like a couple of saw kerfs with material removed from between them in this picture.
If a line starts and stops , to me at least , it is a broken line…just like driving down the road.
The wood is nicely figured.
-- When did quiet and quite become the same word ? I'm guessing about the same time as your and you're did.
