Hello friends, I thank you kindly for jumping over from the blog http://lumberjocks.com/jjw5858/blog/33064 and checking out the finished bowl.

Very challenging and educational in it’s creation. The piece is black cherry (Lost wood from hurricane Sandy). The project was sawed, hewed, carved, shaped and shaved using traditional handtools. Four letter words used by the author in the start of it’s design which is also at times traditional….lol!

Seriously, it was challenging but incredibly rewarding and I look forward to enjoying more of this work.

I hope this may bring some inspiration your way.

Thank you for your time and inspiring works!

Take care,

Joe

I look at your projects and feel bad that I don’t do more with hand tools. Great work.

-- Mother Nature created it, I just assemble it.

Enjoyed your blog, the finished bowl is great, real wood working. The four letter word would be “help”.

Nice bowl. How long did it take to do that?

Amazing bowl, I love that you only used hand tools on it.
