There's a crack in my box!

I’ve wanted to make one of these for quite awhile and decided to make it for my show last weekend. I made a mini one as practice but this one turned out much nicer. Instead of cutting through the entire box for the drawers, I cut the crack first. I then cut off the front and back, cut the drawers from the center section. Traced the drawer openings onto the inside of the front and cut the drawer fronts on my scroll saw. That cleaned up the front and didn’t have the cut line showing. The wood is walnut and maple center. The front and back are lyptus with walnut handles. I didn’t even get it set out and one of the ladies from my craft show group bought it. Size is about 14” tall, 6” wide and 4” thick. Thanks for looking!

I’ve seen several of these and yours is especially nice. Never worked with Lyptus but it looks nice on this piece.

I assume you’re making another one now :-)

Good job. Always makes you feel better when it sells quickly.

@ Monte One of the other members ordered one for his wife so I will be making another one soon. I will also make more for my show next year.

Thanks to all for the nice comments.
