My mom wanted a way to organize her tea stuff so it doesn’t take up so much space on the counter so I came up with this simple organizer. Very simple construction out of pine, used pocket screws to attach the sides to the back and then made a rabbet along the inside, top edge of the sides and back and another one on the outside, bottom edge of the top piece to minimize visible end grain and look a little more decorative and then glued it together. 2 coats of pecan stain and 3 coats of wipe-on poly.
The stand is partially based on a Popular Woodworking project, which i made so her CD rack had better support than the stool it was on top of. Made out of red oak, I tapered both inside and outside edges of the legs so it wouldn’t look too bulky and routed around the top to soften up the edges. 2 coats of red oak stain and 3 coats of wipe-on poly.
Thanks for taking a look!
