This is was a cut off piece of mahogany i got from a friend of mine that looked pretty bland in the ruff. I decided to try to make a clock out of it for a Christmas present and when I plained it down I got a nice suprise. The base is made out of curly maple anf the finish is wipe on poly.
-- i cut it twice and it is still to short

Dozer,
This is a beautiful clock and you did a good job with the wood combination. I am sure that the special person who received it really appreciated the gift.
Well done.

Perfectly done. Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful piece of wood. Gorgeous! I think you choose the best direction to have the grain to go.

That is a nice surprise! You chose the right project to show off that nice piece of mahogany. Nicely done.

The grain on the mahogany flows beautifully with the clock design.
