This is my first project useing the new dovetail jig. Liegh super24. Took some goofing around but it does a nice job. Still working on what finish to use, this is for a friend of mine.
finished up with it last night, tonite I will install the handles and lid pull.

Looks great. Mind if I ask you what you used to cut the simple stepped detail on the bottom molding? If by router, can you tell me what bit profile you used? Also, it would be interesting to see what hardware you will be using.
I am building a smaller box out of pine for my daughter, and when I’m finished the build I’m going with amber colored shellac from Tools for Working Wood.

jcontract, the step detail is made on the tablesaw, it’s actually two pieces. The larger one at the bottom is 1 inch stock the smaller one is cut down to 1/4×1/4 and simply glued on with Titebond II. I followed your link, impressive work on those dovetails, I can see that it is going to be a very beautiful piece.
