Here are three pens I made recently, the first one is bloodwood with a maple and purple heart strips in the middle. The next is just straight bloodwood (my wife didn’t want any extra details, they do look pretty good). The last is maple with a thin strip of walnut sandwitched in the middle.
I am enjoying pens, they are surprisingly fun and easy to make. Many people give me good feedback on them too, all my friends want one or another of them. In the middle of finishing a murphy bed and then I will experiment with a few other designs and ways of making them.

it’s a nice looking collection of pens. the finish all looks great.
I think I like the maple/walnut cigar the best.

Pinkfish,
These are beautiful pens. The only problem with these is that they tend to be addictive. So keep turning at your own risk. :)
I can well understand why you have had requests for more of these. They are well done and have an almost universal appeal.
Very nice post. Thanks for sharing.

I know a guy that, that’s all he does…makes pens. He showed me a couple of dozen of them he had with him to the time. Reason for saying that is: He was well seasoned in this craft, but your’s look every bit as good as his does. Great job. He sells his for 20.00 dollars each. If you get my drift.

Pricing is tricky. I have been considering trying to sell some of the pens although I am not sure where to sell them. I could go to a craft fair, or I could try for a local art gallery… I was thinking of trying to sell them for around $30 each, see how they go at that price anyway.
