Actually it is quite solid. People look at it and think they will fall to the side, but when they sit find it pretty solid.

that’s a pretty cool design. there’s a lot of detail in that project.
most photo editing programs should allow you to rotate the image…

Great piece of furniture. Try rotating the picture on your own software before you upload it.

Outstanding design and craftsmanship. It is easy to rotate the picture, I just picked up my laptop. Just kidding! I look forward to more of your posts.

Great job on the wall hanging.

You might try making a chair next, because this one looks a lot like one.

Very nice. What kind of grade did you get.

This is awesome Christian!
One idea I have been concidering for a workbench that I am getting ready to build was to sandwich a piece of maple between two pieces of walnut for the base and after seeing it here on your chair I am sold. Are you going to finish this piece or leave it without a finish. If so what are you thinking of using?

I was just checking to see what’s new before calling it a night and Holy Smokes, had to log in and give a complement on an incredible looking chair.

How do you get it to stick to the wall like that? People must have a hard time falling out of it. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist!)

Seriously, It’s a beautiful design and a beautiful piece. It must have been a lot of fun making.

Thanks for posting it.

Christian,

This is a beautiful design and a nice choice of woods.

Well done.

I continue to see all of these different projects that are so cool, and, I want to make every one of them myself. But I know I don’t have that much time or energy. What a dilemma.

Christian,
Your chair looks like a stable rump rest. I have wanted to make a chair, but have always stayed away from making it because of strength, but yours looks like one that will be steady and strong for a long time. Nice design.
