Solid cherry desk. 1 sheet of Cherry ply and a few misc cherry boards. 72” long, 24”deep, 30”tall, + 22” hutch. I was worried about leg design being strong enough. Legs are mortised into the feet and the top body. It should hold up fine- she is very solid. The feet are 3×3, the legs are 1 1/2” thick by 7” wide.

Drawers have little walnut sliders cut in- (same as the tool chest does).
Back is cork board.

Stained in BLO to bring out the natural color of wood. Then sprayed 1 coat of poly gloss. Sanded with 320, then brushed 2nd coat of poly. This might be the nicest finish job on anything i’ve built this far. Im very happy with the color. It looks great. :) Thanks for looking.

Clean lines, modern design and all elements work well together. Overall, a very nice project.

Interesting design, and you’re right to be proud of that finish; the color and sheen on it look excellent. Thanks for posting!

Superb job on the mortise and tenons. Nice lines and the delicate feet work well.
