This is my hand cut half blind dovetail on the drawer of my table top case. The front is walnut and the side is ash.

You have done a beautiful job, so much so that it’s difficult to believe you didn’t use a router bit. I have recently done some of these myself for the first time in over ten years of woodworking, and it is a huge challenge with just chisels and a dovetail saw. Mine are not as good as yours. Please tell me that you have done this before! Five times? Ten? Fifty?

congrats, I just completed my first through hand-cut dovetails that I would actually show some one. I’ve built two small boxes using dovetail joints. I made quite a few attempts before getting the hang of it. Until I bought a dozuki saw, all my attempts looked like a cub-scoult project gone wrong. I haven’t attempted any half-blind ones yet. Nice work.

Second time doing hand cut half blind dovetails. Normally I do through dovetails, but these are better for drawers. I just use the veritas 20tpi dovetail and saw and the Japanese bevel edge chisels and the veritas DX60 Block Plane for trimming the 1/32 proud tails. Thanks

Congratulations papermate, you have mastered the Force. Now you are a true wood Jedi. Enjoy you new powers, for they can be used for much good – Woodworking that is.
