This small kitchen island was commissioned for a young couple. They wanted it open all around and high enough to accommodate two stools. It measures 26×45 x 31 in height. I made the base, Roland did the spray painting and Bruce made and oiled the top. The joinery is all mortice and tenon. I wasn’t present at the time but apparently the recipient was very much pleased with it and it more than met her expectation. That alone is good enough but we also had much pleasure in building it.

Nice, solid piece
-- Mother Nature created it, I just assemble it. - It's not ability that we often lack, but the patience to use our ability

I like the contrast between the top and the bottom.
