More Mallets

4 more mallets. The turned carver’s mallets are bloodwood and sapele. The hammer style are purpleheart and oak. All finished with BLO. I was going to give these for christmas gifts but I think I will keep a pair for myself and make a couple more. They are fun to make and you can see how some different woods feel, work and look without buying a lot of a particular type.

I bought an 8 foot piece of purpleheart from my supplier when I planed it. It had some really nice figure that you can see in the pictures.
