made from ash….used mitre corners for the top , after using dado joints to glue
used ginmetal minwax stain with two coats sealer and three coats poly(wet sanded)
top/tray supported by dowels to set the top up
klinda missed the fit though

Like how you used the dowels as lid holder/postioner. Didnt realize it earlier. Like the felt and the lid’s knob too. Good job.

I am with Jay, like the dowels. Don’t think of the fit as a mistake, think of it as a hint of abstract art. Good job.
