Just had to go back and try these in a much smaller size and here what I came up with plus showing a small sample of the actual cut out and re-gluing the back to the main body. I use a Timber Wolf 3/16” 4tpi blade for the cut out along with the Carter Stabilizer, notice that the cut-out has no burn marks showing you how cool the blade cuts using the Stabilizer. For those who have yet found out about this product here a demo of the Stabilizer.. I hope these pic and products help you on your way to building band saw boxes in the near future any question just pm thanks BC

Wilson….I really like this design and the use of the plywood and solids together. I gotta make me one of these. I have yet to make a bandsaw box, and I think your design might be perfect for my first.
