Project Information

Finally finished this project! It took quite awhile to get it done, but I did it using only a scrollsaw. I only uploaded 5 pics of the animals but as you can see in the first pic, there are a bunch! I used black walnut, wenge, yellow heart, padauk, red cedar, blue pine, beechnut, pine, basswood, and aspen. Learned a lot from this project! Thanks for looking!

Nice work. Were the animal shapes your own, or did you work from patterns? And- just gotta ask- where is the unicorn?

@Danpaddles: The animal shapes are from a pattern as well. I found that if you enlarge the animal patterns, they make really cool toys on their own!

Great job on your ark and critters! I've done 2 and the bandsaw REALLY speeds the critter cutting.

Very nice work there…..how many pairs of animals did you finally do?
Would have loved to see a few photos of the great looking ark, too; well done.

Thanks everyone. This was a challenging and very fun project to do! I ended up doing 18 sets of animals.
