Humidor to Match Decanter Box

Just finished this humidor in Myrtle burl as a companion piece to the decanter box. The carcase is MDF and white oak. The box is lined with Spanish Cedar, and the tray is of Orford Cedar that has been fashoned in Shoji style as an accent.

The finish is french polish. This project was interrupted by an emergency appendectomy… at 62 I thought I was immune to such things, but life does have a unique way of kicking you in the butt when you’re not looking.

Thanks for looking and, as always, I appreciate your critiques and comments.

Nice, nice, nice. Truly a wonderful piece. The tray is magnificent. By the way, how big is it?

Fantastic! very nice four way match – would have been nicer if the images were bigger.

Elegant work. Excellent work on the veneer, lines, and edging. The tray in port orford cedar is a nice touch as well.
