From the chairs that I turned into stools (my previous project) I ripped and cut the wood for future use, so now I used them to make two mallets that I was in need of, because I was using just a piece of pine as a mallet.
Now I have decent ones.
They are from Brazilian Cherry, possibly not the best choice for this job, but since I am just a casual woodworker I guess they will last a long time.
