Just cut, sanded, and finished this tonight. Pretty sure this is made out of pine…some of the grain was still tacky from the sap. Sanded from 100 to 250, then three coats of rub on poly. Pretty happy with the results. Pattern is from Sue Mey’s website. Done as part of a Christmas gift package that will also include a pine oven pull and (if I have the time) some wine stoppers.

Doesn’t look that simple to me. Really nice work.

Very nicely done.

Thanks everyone. This cross is about 10” tall cut from 1/2” stock.
