These signs make awesome wedding gifts. Done in red cedar using a small profile bit in my router and 2 coats of Polyurethane.

I just looked at all your projects and they are all great!
(Do you find the poly lasts, or does it have to be recoated every year or so?)

No, the poly doesn’t last. It looks great at first the weather and time work really hard on it. I wish I knew of something else to use that lasts better

I’ve been looking for years and years to find something that will stand up to the weather. I find craft paints are really good for many years, but for clear coat I’m not sure. I have used Deft Exterior Wood Finish with UV and mildew protection but haven’t had enough testing to see how long it will last, which reminds me to make a sample and hang it outside just to see.
