Here is my completed Navy Nuts One
This is the first of a series of Walnut Ships. Each ship is made of Walnut shells, Maple Sails, Basswood planking and Mahognay Studs the rigging is attached to. Each piece of rigging is tied in a knot and glued to the stays. The base is made out of Cottonwood Tree Bark. From start to finish this display took me about 20 hours.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.

BTW, This series I am calling Navy Nuts and each set will have a unique number such as Navy Nut One, Navy Nut Three, etc

There will be more to come.

I like the design of the boats very much, kind of steam punk/surreal but original too. All in all, it’s a great piece.

Very cool! Being ex-Navy, I really love this! May have to try this myself at some point. Well done!
