My wife needed a box to put photo albums in & I had some leftover cedar resawn from 6” X 6” deck posts (that I had also used on projects before) that fit the bill. The wood is 1/2” thick & I cut out handles for the end pieces & nailed & glued the box together. “Vacation” is carved in the front & it’s finished it with Danish Oil.

A good single purpose box, with no doubt about its purpose! It’s not often we see exposed nails on a build but they look just fine here, like a vacation from complicated joints. Always love cedar.
