once again, kudos to sam maloof. he has been an inspiration since I first saw him on the tv, but didn’t start furniture until at least a decade later.
this chair started as a prototype but ended up delicious. It is baltic birch plywood (seat), wormy maple (legs). with sam’s joints….beautiful and strong. I am doing on now in black walnut which is turning out nicely, a little more refined and softer. paz, scott

You’ve created a beautiful chair that’s both elegant and simple at the same time.

That chair maybe look simple but I love it . That is very artistic and sumptuous !

Nice tribute to a great man, I’m sure he is smiling down on your results. Great work.

That looks great. I have been considering making a chair like that for a long time. The seat is my biggest concern. Yours has a flat seat and I was wondering if it was confortable?
