The making of a wand. First picture is the exotic woods turned to rough diameter with block of maple end caps not yet cut or turned down. Next is the maple caps stick after it had been cut down and turned. 3rd picture is drilling connection hole and part off location. With a small exacto blade the cap is parted off then mounted alone to be faced and sanded.
Last picture shows whole assembly glued up and clamped together. Top is wenge and bottom is cocobolo. I’ll turn the final diameter tonight and post some more pictures tomorrow.
