After finishing my cedar pergola, I had some left over cedar. So….. I built these two chaise longue’s. Still deciding what finish to put on them. The design is from Woodsmith magazine #45 from June of 1986. There were a couple of length errors in the design and also was a bit dated in the processes but overall I am pleased with the results. The author used Redwood and I am not sure how that compares to Cedar. Cedar seems to be a bit soft for some things as it dents easy so time will tell how these hold up.

if you have the same wether as we have …. rainny sommers
either lack them every year … like a boat or oil them twice a year
then you shouldn´t have problems
if they get toooooo ugly for you there is always white paint … :-)

Look great! Enjoy it! Where I live you would use it all the year round.
