I don’t post as often as I should. Here is some recent work. Been experimenting with bookmarks and earrings in addition to the necklaces and boxes I have been making for quite some time.

Bookmarks are glued up in blocks and thin strip ripped either on the bandsaw or tablesaw with a thin strip jig. Earrings are make in larger blocks also and then resawn on bandsaw with a stop block to keep thickness consistent. Post on earring glued on back with super glue before finish so it penetrates wood more.

Really nice work. I really like the end grain look in lid in picture 5.

Kevin, nice to see the posts! I would love to see a shot of the inside of your boxes so I could tell more about how they are made. They sure are pretty! Thanks for sharing. Keep boxing and keep posting.

Vakman, rough dimensions in pix 6 is 1 1/4” x 5/8” by about 1/8” thick. Boxguy, I don’t have any shots yet of the inside, but they are simple 45 miters. Thanks all!
