This is one of my more innovative ideas. I needed a shelf above my miter saw to hold my blades, eye glasses, measuring tap, etc. My parents have always liked shadow boxes so I thought, what better way to maximize storage space in the workshop. This shadow box is assembled using rabbet joints and reinforced with cabinet screws for strength. The backing is peg board for holding saw blades and wrenches. This has been a great shelf for holding all of my cutting tools!

I like the idea of shadowboxes. There’s always a need for more storage room in a shop. I may have found something to do with some of my leftover material.
