This is the second coffee grinder I’ve made. An old pine board, handcut dovetails and an old knob from a dresser. Finished with some miniwax stain and 3 applications of finishing wax.
After cutting the 3 sides and the dovetails I decided to make the drawer out of the entire front piece. Cut 45 degree angles on the sides so it slots in.
Coffee mill was $11 from penn state ind. Works like a charm.
This one is for my brother in law’s Christmas present. The other picture was the first one I made from poplar.
I’m still having to fill some of the joints with sawdust and glue but getting better :)

That looks very nice! I think I might add one of those grinder mechanisms to my Christmas list! That will make a great first box project and it looks fantastic. Great job.

Nice. I want to make one of those! Then I can still have fresh grinds for my java when the light go out, so long as I have some propane… Something I need and can make. Doesn’t get better than that. Will look again but not sure you said where you got the grinder mechanism. Is it a burr grinder…
