These chairs were in a variety of pieces outside they’d been rained and weathered for years. I got a new- well new to me- table and needed more chairs hoping at least a few could match after pricing new ones and laughing at my predicament ( nice big table the whole family can gather around- while standing, because I had traded my table and chairs for the table.) So I scoured found these and got after it I sanded like crazy, glued etc stained away. I didn’t expect such a deep dark blue but I certainly didn’t wait like I know know. I like them just the same so it works out, and the best part – FREE Just a little labor and love, we’ll a lot!

Neato chairs. Was the seat always that flat or did the Saddle get smoothed out from your sanding? It looks very old. I see you fixed your sideways profile pic too!

It was flat before I sanded it, they we’re my grandfathers chairs, the had a hand painted table to match but in my youthful ignorance I left them on a porch at an old ranch house, and then kinda drug them around from one yard to the next until an unfortunate friend attempted sitting in one :) and yes finally with the picture, turns out my phone had a vendetta as most electronics do with me.
Have your say...
