Shadowbox made from cocobolo and hickory. “Jack” created himself when he was accidentally left out on the balcony over the winter many years ago. When we discovered him in early spring, he had shriveled up just enough to look like a shrunken head, but the fact that he was also frozen, partially preserved him. I added polyurethane to make him last and he has been living in a plastic box for 17 years. I finally got around to giving him a proper home. He is quite “creepy” up close and personal. I chose the cocobolo to match his gnarliness.

Awesome!! I used to make shrunken apple heads as a kid.. I bet he is happy to have a proper home … heck a grand mansion of cocobolo for the creepy guy. LOL

Jack be not so nimble (anymore),
Jack be not so quick (17 yrs?!!),
Jack got boxed in by the cocobolo stick.
Folk art at its finest. Nice work.
