For a long time, I have envisioned a long, low clock that would have been on a desk or table in a smoking lounge in the teens, twenties, or thirties. This is what I have come up with. Also, both clocks are made of the same wood. The “faces” are white oak and the rest is red oak. All the red oak was cut from the same board. The darker treatment is using the iron buff staining I have been talking about. It stains to look a lot like walnut but smells like pickles till you varnish it. Watch out if you try this stain, you will need extra relish for your hot dogs when you go upstairs for a snack.

Those are nice!! I really like the one on the right with the contrasting wood colors. Great job!
