I haven’t posted anything in a while so I thought I would share my latest project. We have had this brass door knocker laying around the house for years not knowing what to do with it since we already have another one on the door. Well when my wife “reminded” me AGAIN about how much she would like a napkin holder it gave me an idea for the knocker. Instead of making a sliding wooden contraption of some sort to keep the napkins from “flying away” (this thing will probably never leave the kitchen table but that’s beside the point!), maybe I could rig up the door knocker to do the job. Took a bit of modification but it actually works pretty well. Added space for the salt and pepper for good measure. I can see that I will have to turn some matching shakers before long!

Good use of the knocker. I am sure there will be several made now for outdoor barbeque.
