this was a project i did while in school. we’ll call it a “woodworker/design student collaboration” where me the woodworker teamed up with a design student to build their creations with them….to be honest i would never build anything like this but sometimes that is a good way to get you building outside the box….just not a fan of that veneer…. please note i didnt do much of the veneer work…wish i would have though!

Nice job. I sympathize with being forced into the mandated team approach to a project—I’ve always preferred to do it “my way.”

I’m sure it got you thinking “outside the box” LOL! Ever read any of James Krenov”s books? Great projects require the elements of great design. Lots of nice projects on your project page. Wonder what this would look like in wood.

i have never read any books by him, worth checking out? ya i would have loved to see this made out of cherry or something nice. I wish i had taken better pictures of this, i might try to find some, the idea was that the top half of the box was separated from the bottom so you could see the drawer pulling out.
