This is a kitchen island that I made for a relative. I don’t normally make cabinets and this one turned out to be a huge amount of work. That top is solid red oak and it took me hours of sanding to straighten out all the glue joints. I attached the boards together with Kreg pocket screws and glue, and I learned that it was very difficult to keep them perfectly alligned. Instead of shelves I put large drawers inside the cabinet. As you can see they slide all the way out. The top of this is 3’ by 6’ and the cabinet is 2’ wide. There is a 1’ overhang for the bar.
