Another sculpted piece. I really like the look of the grain on this old sinker cypress…it has character that far surpasses the look of the new growth cypress…This one also has a wall hanging bracket but it also stands up on its own. It is approximately 6×8. Lacquer finished and buffed. Another one that is going to my next show for a test run.

-- Every step of each project is considered my masterpiece because I want the finished product to reflect the quality of my work.

I like it as a hanging and as a stand alone piece.

Just a something to show the beauty of the wood…I’ve made lots of things that people say “what is it?” It’s a cool piece of wood, that’s all. Some just don’t get it. Love it! What are you working with, a grinder?

Love that sinker cypress! You have used up all my adjectives so I’ll just say that I love it!

That is a beauty.Almost looks prehistoric in a way and being made from old wood makes it almost so .
I will be interested how it is received at the show.
I can see this as a two sided piece as a desk ornament.

You’re right about the grains, Greg. I would hang it on my wall!
