I just completed this project and wanted to go with Purple Heart pedestal and legs but thought it would be too much purple…but now after seeing it with maple, I might change it out…seems to be too much maple. Oh well, I’m still happy with it and plan on giving it to one of my kids when they get their own place.

Thanks for the comments. John, I used minwax polyurethane Clear Gloss…about 5 coats on it and it really makes that purple heart pop out at ya!
Thanks
