This if the first cribbage board I have ever made, the wood I used is mahogany that I bought at a wood recycling place for a whole $3. If you look can find some great wood at good price. the piece I started out with was twice as big as this one there was quite some cutting and planing to do but for $3 I got two nice pieces of mahogany out of it. I did put a slot in the back for the cards but I am thinking not to do that next time and just build a little box instead since it didn’t turn out the way I would’ve wanted it It is still nice piece, that I will enjoy using

no kidding, I did center punch the holes thus reducing the chance of making mistakes. I used the cheapest center punch ever a big nail and it didn’t even cost me a thing
