This is an old oak knot that a friend gave me. When I got it, it was “even” across the top. Did a lot of Dremel and sanding work on it and then polished it with my own special oil/wax blend. It will be someone’s Christmas present. Thanks for the looks and comments.

lew—————-well…it’s actually the wood but there were cracks/fissures in it and I filled them with a glue/wood dust paste. Luckily it all came out the same color when it as sanded down and the finish was applied. It looks really nice in real time.
