this is a fun bandsaw project. Ive made three of these at different times and begin with a solid wood block, mine are walnut. was lucky to have some stock large enough not to have to laminate two of them. the third was a glueup of thinner pieces. the finished work is about the size of half a football. used tung oil to finish
