I turned this remarkable piece of Texas quilted walnut with eye burls I found on a ranch. This piece was a limb out near the end of the branch so I turned this 12’’ high by 14 ’’ small limb to test the wood before I start cutting on the larger portions of the limb which are 20’’ wide and 18’’ high. I was so amazed at how it turned out I had to adorn the beautiful colors of pinks , purple, and curly dark grain with a lid to keep the eye from going into the bowl. I then turned a lid out of wenge some old scrape that was calling my name waiting for me to use. to use . I had laying around waiting for me. I then an old quilted walnut bark piece with eye burls and sanded it only in the area’s where one’s hand would touch for a handle. I polished then waxed the piece and saw the eye burls popping out so I called it ” Eyes from within” . All this and Heaven too.

Very nice!
Looks like a few ghostly figures in there too… Just in time for Halloween! LOL
Does the handle turn? Looks like it might…
Good job!
Thank you.
