I know it has been a while since I posted a project… not to say I have not been busy making things… just slack in posting…
This board started out as a typical small end grain board… but when I put the oil on… whoa… the colours really popped..
The board is 225 mm square… approx… or 9 inches for those who have not caught up to the metric system yet..lol
Two timbers were used… the pinkish/orange one is Jarrah…eucalyptus marginata and the brownish/orange one is New Guinea Rosewood…. ptericarpus indicus…
There are small finger recesses routed in the base for easy lifting… edges have been slightly arissed.
Finished with several coats of grapeseed oil…
Not sure if I will put rubber feet on…... maybe I will..
Last pic is a small teaser showing some of the board I am working on this week…

Sorry, I don’t speak metric: what is “colours ”?
That is really sharp Larry. Love the hand holds too.

Nice to hear from you again Larry!
Looks like that monster laser box of yours isn’t robbing ALL of your time, eh? ;-)
The boards, as always, look great!

I thought it was one of those woven lamp shades, what with the bright colors and all. Excuse me, colours. I had to look at it again to see it is a cutting board. My eyes got out of focus after looking at this one. The other ones are nice too.
