My wife needed a table to set her stuff on next to her chair. After brain-storming I come up with this project.
I took a piece of marble and cut it down to 12”x15”x3/4”. (I tried to get it cut locally , they wanted $75.00, lol. I cut it myself). I had an old sewing machine cabinet in the basement, I removed the legs and cut the down to length and sanded off the finish. I think they are cherry or mahogony. Went to local store and purchased some red oak boards an trim. Put together with only one board cut to short, another trip to the store , lol. Finished with gel dark walnut stain, top coat of dark walnut danish oil.
Wife is pleased! So am I.

Very nicely done. The legs are very nicely done and the marble is incredible.
