Finished this a month ago but just got the granite and plumbing done this week.
Did the tile many months ago… am I slow or what ;)
Travertine floor and wall tile, heated floor with mosaic inlaid medallion.
Wall tile is set between pencil rail with a listello and chair rail cap.
Vanity and mirror is cherry. Finished in BLO with ML Campbell Krystal sealer followed by Duravar conversion varnish top coats.
Vanity is constructed with haunched & beaded face frames using my shop built jig & a router bit modified.
FF is pocket screwed and glued to carcase.
Gables and FF are doweled and glued to the legs.
Interior carcase is 3/4” VC pre-finished maple ply.
Slides are Blum tandem with blummotion, doors have blummotion as well.
Drawer boxes are maple with half lap joints and walnut miller dowel for decoration.
Legs are 8/4 cherry with a fair bit of curl and finished to 1-3/4 thick and sculpted to profile. Mirror has a matching profile.
Window and door trim looks like it matches the vanity but it’s no cherry it’s pine!
All the casing and frieze is 1-1/4” thick, the cornice is 2” thick all milled on my shaper.
Finish is a spray on MLC microtone dye so it doesnt splotch at all. Same topcoat as vanity.
I cut all trim to size and pre-finish in the shop so it goes up as you see it here.
It’s REAL nice to have a second bathroom finally, especially with 5 kids!!

Really nice. I love cherry. I’d have you come over and do my bathrooms next but that would be a helluva commute to MD, USA!

Hard to believe that is pine. I’m actually not that big of a fan of cherry because people tend to darken it up too much when they finish it. This looks perfect.

Steve,
Gorgeous! You might not be fast, but the bathroom was well worth the wait. Thanks for sharing.

I love a trim motif that is carried around the room. Nice details on the trim, and that vanity is fantastic! You are sure to get many compliments on your beautiful work.

5 kids… Next time your up, let’s plan ahead, and we’ll meet up away from the shop. Apparently I’m not in the loop.
Otherwise I’m going to drop in on you, and you know how bad I want to try out your shower.
