After getting sick of having my phone and ipod just laying around my desk, I decided to build a simple holder. Made out of scrap walnut. Kind of tricky to cut the sharp angle on the tablesaw, but I got through it without injuring myself. The bottom board is glued and screwed to the angled board with 4 screws through the bottom. Thought it would be kind of a weak joint, but I can put a large amount of pressure on the top and theres no give. The angle is perfect for viewing the screens and allowing use of each item while in the stand. The finish is brush on lacquer

this is a great idea, and one of those projects that could be done in an afternoon. Thanks for the idea.

Technology and wood. You have proven that they are a good combination.

Have your say...
