Here are my versions of Bandsaw Box Christmas Trees, one is made from Red Cedar and the other is made from Mahogany, Each has three drawers with one hidden drawer in each box, All drawers in both boxes are knob-less, I added another new twist to my boxes, instead of a pull out drawer they are push out drawers hence the finger holes in the back of the box. On the red cedar box I left the inside of the drawers unfinished for the cedar smell, I plan on asking customer if they’d like it finished when the time comes. Measurements are 11” H x 6” W x 3” D

Hope you enjoy and I always enjoy reading the comments.

Holy Christmas Tree Band Saw Man!! Just kidding! Those look mighty nice Blackie!
You could put a little battey pack in one draw and hang a few LED’s on it.
Nice work!!!

Hi Thomas

Well I thought of several things to incorporate which included

1. Mounting trees to a base then adding a maple fence around the trees onto the base with small box gifts under the trees.
2. Drilling tiny holes on the tips of the branches and adding small armaments using fishing line.
3. Affixing lights on the trees.

All of these things came to mind but I wanted to keep them simple and not to complexed due to the cost for purchase.

Another great original design by the bandsaw wizard! You have motivated me to take the big blade off my saw and do some bandsaw boxes! Thought I’d start back with something easy so started a 6 drawer redwood and birdseye maple box today. Keep up the inspiring posts.

Your designs continue to be top notch. It is a fine line between adding accessories and keeping it affordable. Nice job.

Blackie, what fun…again. I look forward to your posts because I never know what you are going to come up with next. I like the idea of the hole in the back. It gives the trees a nice, clean look. Great innovation. Andy’s right. You have become an inspiration to many of us and seem to have revived interest in band saw boxes on the web site. Keep boxing and keep posting.

Unexpected design! I do agree with you about keeping them simple, not everyone would like to have them decorated with dangly bits… ;)
