Last project for now. This one is really old 1.75 inch pine flooring I got from a friend of mine who was tearing down an old century barn.
This wood is a challenge to work. Had to inject glue into all the splits and cracks then clamp for a day so I could carve without trouble.
Very dry and brittle but surprisingly dense.
This is the last project I’m able to work this year as I’m headed back to the oilpatch. I will miss my workshop but I should be back by next spring. I will visit this site whenever I get some free time though.
Thanks for all the comments. Being new to this website I’ve noticed that there is nothing but positive and encouraging notes from everyone.

Really nice job on these. Nice finish. Careful in the oil patch :-)

Very nice and WAY past my skills or patience levels!

I have always liked wood carved original pieces!
