Commissioned to build for a young lady in church. First full size Cedar Hope Chest that I have built:) Learned to use the glue joint bit, and the double lock miter bit. Took a few test runs to get them right ;) Used Watco semi-gloss clear lacquer for the finish. I completed this in September, I forgot to update the camera date :(

Yeah, those glue joint bits are quite a test of paitence – but once you get it, they arn’t too bad.

Beautiful chest! I am looking to build something similar for my wife. Did you work from a plan or design this yourself? If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of joinery did you use for the fronts and sides? Did you custom route the moulding?
