This project was done in my shop by our son Matt. Matt makes rustic “cabin craft” furniture as a sideline. He found this piece and has had it stuck away until this week. The boot top is Red Cedar and the sole and heel are pine. Black stain makes the sole black. brushed on Satin poly cover it all.

WOW! My hat’s off to your son Matt. Well done looks like your son is a chip off the ole bolck! I love the back ground setting! Great display of some really interesting work!!! And that old Ford sign makes it so American!!!

NO, this isn’t carved, it is a natural piece, he just added the sole and heel.

Great idea. Now if he hollowed out the boot, it would be a nice vase for dried flowers etc.

Matt, has got a great eye, I am sure the boot resemblance was not as easy to identify lying on the wood pile.

Boot update…...The day he finished it he sold it. The new owners want it turned into a lamp. Matt left for an overseas job, so I guess I get the make over.
