Every year we have Fall Fest in our backyard. It started out as a joke between 5 people. 40 people are coming this year and we have t-shirts with the Fall Fest logo.
Each year we add a new “event” and I burn wooden medals for the winners. This particular year we had a river boat race in the creek in the backyard where contestants had to craft their own boat. Some people showed up with just a milk jug and their name written on it (lame), but I crafted this Viking long boat. It’s about the size of a deck of cards. I added “oars” at the last minute because it lacked a keel to keep it upright. It did not win, sadly.
Nor did I win the Cider Chug. No more frat boys on the guest list!

That’s a great way of getting your friends and neighbors together for a fun time. We have lots of bar-b-q’s all year long to get friends together.
