I’m at a garage sale, due to glancing at all of the antique items in the yard…I stop. I was talking with the owners of the home as I glanced down at the ground and notice this chunk of wood half stuck into the ground, I grabbed it (due to uniqueness) and the man stated that “that was a left over piece of wood from a tree he had cut down years ago, didn’t know it was there”, I admired it, so he laughed and said “take it”!

Therefore, I did!!

I had a relative once who couldn’t understand why I was so eager to come help cut up and haul off an old maple tree that had fallen in his yard, and I wouldn’t even let him pay me for it. He just didn’t understand why I would do the work for some of the ‘trash.’

Very nice looking plaque by the way.
